I am devoting this site to two subjects, horse paintings and paintings of bones and skulls. When I was a child I wanted a horse desperately but we had bo place to keep one. My solution was to start drawing them. When I became a grown up, drawing and painting horses seemed a childish thing and I put it aside. Now in my mid 70s I have started painting them again. I wonder why I waited so long. Painting bones and skulls grows out of my years as a medical illustrator. I loved drawing and painting the bones. Where I live it is farily easy to find the remains of animals that have not made it through the winter, or met some other catasrophe. Now friends bring me bones they have found on their hikes or when raking up under the old apple tree. I will come home and fine a deer skull sitting in a chair on my front porch.
